SUMMARY:

 

 

  1. Review and Approval of Minutes of THE PRECONSTRUCTION  MEETING  

 

 

  1. Review of Work Progress Since LAST PROGRESS MEETING

           

RICHFIELD BRIDGE        –           BRIDGE REPLACEMNET           –           OXFORD

 

  • Mobilized
  • Set out Road closure signs 18 days before closing road
  • Erected the detour plan
  • De-energized the lines through the project
  • Set up MDOT Field Office
  • Cleared trees and bushes to the project limits
  • Installed erosion control measures
  • Removed pavement to the project limits
  • Installing riprap between STA 15+25 → 15+75 RT per the plans
  • Installed upstream sandbag cofferdam and downstream filtration cofferdam
  • Closed road on Thursday, August 20th
  • Removed the 2 culverts
  • Excavated and installed streambed liner riprap and riprap side slopes
  • Received reinforcing steel for Abutments, Approach Slabs, & Curbs
  • Mobilized pile driving equipment
  • Received piles
  • Performed a PDA for Abutment 2
  • Drove Abutment 2 piles to refusal
  • Placed concrete in the Abutment 2 Pile Jackets
  • Began building Abutment 2 forms and tying re-steel
  • Began driving piles at Abutment 1

 

 

Next meeting will be held on Wednesday   September 23, 2015     at 11:00 AM. At the MDOT Field Office located in front of the Greeley Brook Daycare (274 Gore Rd, Oxford, ME 04270). Please keep in mind that there is a detour. To get to the office you need to be on the Rt. 117 side of Gore Rd.

  1. PROBLEMS CONFLICTS AND PROBLEM RESOLUTIONS FROM LAND OWNERS ON THE PROJECT.

  1. SUBCONTRACTOR ISSUES

 

NONE.

 

  1. ENGINEERING QUESTIONS AND ISSUES

 

There was a discussion on spray on membrane. The following questions were asked and will be answered:

  • Can traffic drive directly on the Spray-On Membrane?
  • If so, for how long?

 

 

  1. Review of Future Action Items – Priorities!!!

 

  • The Contractor has requested permission to work on Sundays within the road closure. There are 25 more days allowed on the road closure and CPM would like to utilize the 4 Sunday’s which fall between now and the re-opening.
  • The Contractor has submitted a request for time due ot the following: When laying out piles for Abutment 2 the contractor noticed that the overhead utility lines fall directly above the northern-most pile on both abutments. This caused them to lose progress starting Thursday, August 27th at 4:00 PM and continuing work Monday, August 31st once the utilities were all moved.

 

 

 

  1. PROJECT SAFETY ISSUES

  1. CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUES –    

The Contractor has set up the Jobsite bulletin board with the required jobsite posters.

 

Any authorized persons who take exception to any statement in these minutes must notify the Resident in writing within seven days from receipt of the minutes, stating in detail the comment, correction or omission.  Otherwise, these minutes shall stand as written.
