To the residents of Oxford,

The Town of Oxford has been monitoring the COVID-19 virus and its potential impact on our community. After serious consideration and in consultation with the Selectmen, we will be making some adjustments in the way Town services are provided. These changes will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and updated as circumstances change. Our goal is to ensure the safety of our employees and residents in the most responsible way possible. We apologize for any inconvenience these measures cause. It is important to avoid the need to shut down entirely through unintended exposure to the virus. We strongly urge residents to practice social distancing and good hygiene when conducting personal business outside of the home. We also encourage you to call and check on your neighbors, friends, and family to avoid social isolation.

We are erring on the side of caution in order to do our best to slow the spread of this virus. Please check below for updates.

LD 2167 has been implemented due to COVID-19.  Part of the language extends any registration, including a temporary registration, of a vehicle, including, without limitation, a motor vehicle or a trailer required to be registered in this State that expires during the period of a state of emergency declared by the Governor in accordance with Title 37-B, section 742 due to the outbreak of COVID-19 is deemed extended until 30 days following the termination of the state of emergency.

Starting Monday May 11th, 2020 the office is open to the public. Our hours are M, T, W, F 8am – 4pm and Th 10am – 6pm.

We ask that any reregistrations that can be done online continue to be done using the Rapid Renewal system.

Per Governor Mills’ Executive Order, the Recycling Center will be closed Tuesday, April 7, 2020 until further notice.

For the time being, all recyclable materials may be disposed of with regular household waste at the Transfer Station.

Residents are encouraged to store their recyclables at home until after the Executive Order is lifted and the Recycling Center reopens.

Per Executive Order 56, the Selectmen voted on June 4th for all registrations that have expired during the COVID-19 pandemic to be due for re-registration on June 30, 2020.
