The Town of Oxford will receive bids for one paving project. Specifications and contract forms are currently available, and may be obtained by request at the Town Office or downloaded from www.oxfordmaine.org classified page. All bids must be in writing, signed by the bidder, sealed, clearly marked and submitted to the Town Office by 3 P.M. on Wednesday July 18th, 2018 at which time and place all proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. STREET SWEEPER SPECIFICATIONS
The Town of Oxford is currently looking for Bids on a high quality used Street Sweeper. This item should meet or exceed a certain specification. Specifications are as follows:
- Complete unit must be manufactured in accordance with and meet the latest adopted OSHA or SAE standards and amendments thereto.
- High capacity hopper/high clearance dump
- PM-10 certified
- Dual Gutter Broom
- On board water
- Hydrostatic drive
- Dual steering
- 3 wheel drive
All items appearing in Manufacturer’s published literature and specifications as standard are assumed to be included in bidder’s proposal. Total price of vacuum or sweeper, should include shipping and handling.
The Town of Oxford reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all bids and no bid is final until formally accepted by the Board of Selectmen.
Bids to be opened Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 3:00 PM. Sealed bids to be submitted to the attention of the Town Clerk, PO Box 153, Oxford, Maine 04270 in an envelope with the words “Street Sweeper Bid” clearly indicated on the lower left corner.

The Town of Oxford is accepting applications for the position of a part-time Beach Attendant. The position consists of varied hours Monday through Sunday. Job description along with an application is available at the Oxford Rec Center during regular public hours.
The Town of Oxford is accepting applications for the position of a Certified Lifeguard. The position would be Monday through Friday starting on July 23 and ending August 3. Applications are available at the Oxford Rec Center during regular public hours.
