An Ad Hoc Committee for the purpose of reviewing the current state and adequacy of municipal facilities in the town and to report their findings to the Board of Selectmen is being formed. The Thompson Lake Dam Committee will be meeting November 8th, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Oxford Town Office.

What: Vehicles with various themies or stories, filled with lots of Candy of other Treats!
Why: To provide parents a safe place for their kids!

Costume Judging at 7:00 PM
A public hearing will be held following the Special Town Meeting on September 20, 2018. The Special Town Meeting starts at 6:00Pm at the Oxford Town Office.
The Public hearing will be on the General Assistance Ordinance updated appendixes. This is a State of Maine requirement to be done yearly by October 1st.
There will be a community BBQ on September 25, 2018 from 4:30 to 6:00 PM for Oxford Residents at the Community Center (under the Ice Rink due to rain) followed by a concert . Volunteers needed.

Otisfield Culvert Replacement Necessitates Detour
Otisfield – Due to a Maine Department of Transportation culvert replacement project, a portion of Route 121 in Otisfield will be closed to all through traffic on Tuesday, August 21st beginning at 6 a.m.
The closure will be approximately 1/4 mile north of the junction with Bell Hill Rd, which is approximately 7 miles north of the junction with Poland Spring Road (Route 11) in Casco and 7 miles south of the junction with King Street in Oxford.
Motorists will need to be detoured for this project. The signed detour route will utilize Poland Spring Road and Bakerstown Road (Route 11), Megquier Hill Road in Poland, and King Street in Oxford. The detour length from one end of the work zone to the other is 28 miles. For thru travelers from Casco to Oxford, or vice versa, it is 14 miles.
It is anticipated all work will be completed by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21.
The Gore Road will be getting paved on August 17, 2018.
